How we help our neighbors in Arizona

Manzanita Outreach realized that there was a local need also.We began supplying food throughout Yavapai County, initially at a 15% rate in 2011,  progressing to an approximate 33% by 2013. and in 2014 we kept 50% locally in Arizona. Moving into 2015 we are keeping more than 50% of our meals locally in Arizona.

We have collaborated with another local nonprofit organization called Yavapai Food Council (YFC), directed by Amy Aossey. YFC helps us distribute our meals to over 40 emergency food providers, schools, seniors and any of the food deprived of Yavapai County. KAH itself is looking also to provide food to vets and those in need on the Native American reservation. We would like to provide opportunities to civic groups, scouts , seniors, food bank recipients, and those needing community service hours, to come and pack food for themselves and others. We are also looking to develop field trip opportunities for school-aged children.
